Hoop Dreams (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

I worked on the music for “Hoop Dreams” for several years — first it was a short PBS special called “Higher Goals” and only later the celebrated film that critic Rodger Ebert once called “the best picture of the year”. Today, a print of the film is at the Smithsonian (it was selected as one of the one hundred most important films of the 20th century) and I still love hearing Humpty Hump call my name.
