Love Is Strange

Phil came up with the idea of recording the song “Love Is Strange” and I came up with the idea of having his old Chicago soulmate Chaka Kahn sing it. That started the process of making Phil’s second Go Jazz album and after rounding up lots of other singers and players, we settled into Prince’s Paisley Park studios where we captured the music (even Prince himself was in the house).
